I know this hasn't had great reviews, but my children loved the film, and we would like to try it anyway. Is it a permanent attraction - I seem to think it is only temporary, not sure why! Does anyone know if it will still be there in November?

i have been told it is staying till 2007 (dont know how true it is), personally i didnt like it all u do is sit in a room n watch clips of the film! that is it!

There's no way it's permenant. It's the tackiest looking exhibit they have, even worse than Sounds Dangerous. Funny thing is, my wife enjoyed it and says it was one of her favorite things. I'll never understand her.

Basically you walk into a soundstage that has a model of the wardrobe, it opens and you walk through it into another soundstage which is decorated quite poorly to have trees, snow, and a video screen which is basically just an extended preview for the movie. Halfway through the movie, a face character of the ice witch walks out and recites some lines and then the movie continues. Afterwards you walk outside again. If you've got some time to kill you may want to check it out, but prepare to be underwhelmed.

I love seeing behind the scenes oh how movies are done and props and such. I love One Mans Dream. Is it anything like that.

no, not at all. It's basically the same movie preview you saw in theatres, just slightly longer with a human actress at one point.

We saw this attraction right before we saw the movie. It was actually kind of neat. They had fog that rolled a little above the floor, it made the whole effect better.

I don't know how long it will stay, but it's not the worst thing in MGM, that's for sure.

This was as boring as can be....a two minute monolog by the White Witch and movie clips along with a small display.

I'm hoping they're just using this to test guest interest in the Chronicles story in preperation to do a true ride based on it.

This is the sequel to the Haunted Mansion set walkthrough. It isn't intended to be a real attraction...just be glad it fits the theme of the Disney-MGM Studios.

This is actually the kind of stuff that D-MGM needs to enhance it's theme and the guest experience. It would be nice for this concept to move to the Backlot Tour but plussed greatly.

They just had an extra studio that they figured they would fill. Not going to be here for long. ONce they find something else to go there like a drink and food stop they will replace it.

It reminded me of the "line ride" in South Park... when we walked out the doors at the end, I was expecting the attraction to start, but that was it - it was over. bummer.
I hope they take what they have so far and add an actual attraction to the queue that they call an attraction now.

You'll see more Narnia props at the end of the backlot tour.

This Narnia thing is the worst time waster ever. We waited 20 minutes in line to watch a trailer! What the hell were they thinking? They should close it asap, it's plain shameful.

Yes finally someone agrees with me on that ride. I hated the movie and I hate the idea that they are making another movie. Yes that is right another movie that is Narnia. I think it comes out next year. Idon't know what the date is. But it is true.

Thanks for everyone's input. Our family loves Narnia! My kids are being Peter and Lucy for halloween. However, I will skip this attraction as I have no need to see another trailer and no desire to wait in another line for something lame.

One of my co-workers is planning for her girls to be the daughters in the movie. Lucy and ?? Has anyone seen the costumes for these at World of Disney in DTD or anywhere else on property? We are going down in a few weeks and she wants me to pick them up for her as she has convinced herself that they will have nicer ones at the parks then they do online.

No way! The movie was great! You are the first person I have heard say anything negative. As far as the attraction - if you like Narnia - go - it is pretty neat. We were a little disappointed as I expected more to it - but if you know what to expect going in - it is pretty neat - I mean the lamp post - the winter setting and the white witch are all great - I just wanted more after that part.

You really should try something for yourself. If you have time, take a look as you may actually like it. Don't just take the word of someone else that it's not worth your time. I've heard people disparage Space Ship Earth and couldn't imagine skipping it. ;)

Gotta agree. Haven't heard ANY negative remarks about the movie either. I think you're correct that expectations seem to cause people to be less than impressed. Partly because of the way they "touted" the attraction and partly due to people just thinking that it would be more.

The "attraction" was never meant to be a ride, show or anything of the sort. It was simply a "set" from the movie and a way for people to experience something close to a working movie set and get people excited about seeing the movie. Keep in mind this came out at the same time as the movie opened, so they couldn't show much more than the previews. Everyone would be upset if they gave up to much information.

I believe this is just the thing that the Studios need more of to keep the "movie" theme going. It would be nice if they used one of the larger buildings and had sets of several recent or future releases that you could walk through. Nothing extravagent, but it would be a great way to build excitement for new releases while enjoying areas about recent movies and re-build excitement for DVD release. A lot of people were upset over the loss of the backlot neighborhoods... but it wasn't anything more than the Narnia experience... only a bigger scale.

www.disneyshopping.com has some really nice ones. I don't know what they will have at the parks, but we have purchased costumes from here the past few years and the costumes are of very good quality.
