Journey into Imagination with Figment Refurbishment

I still don't know what I think about the new ride. Certain parts of the ride are wonderful and other parts fall flat. The Sound Lab seems VERY unfinished to me. We go in, and all of a sudden a song begins and we see figment bouncing on the words to the song. Whoopdeedoo! The ending platform with all the star fiberoptics that slowly fade away to reveal your true location is simply wonderful and I wish the whole ride could have that much imagination in it.

Here's a way to better show my feelings towards Figment.

I would rather they change his shape, color, and voice than change his spirit. I mean, the change of Mickey Mouse from the late 30s to the 40s changed his appearance, yet, his spirit (what counts) is the same.

Mickey's personality changed, though.

GIVE IT A REST, GRIZZLYHALL!

FIGMENT'S NOT THE ONLY DISNEY CHARACTER THAT HAS GONE THROUGH PERSONALITY CHANGES, YOU KNOW...AS I SAID BEFORE!

Let's face the truth--FIGMENT'S PERSONALITY MAY BE DIFFERENT (with at least some of his old personality in tact), BUT HIS SPIRIT HAS NOT CHANGED!

Please don't yell at me!! lol

How has Mickey's spirit changed? I see no dramatic difference between then and now. Figment's personality has changed, yes. But his essence in the attraction (spirit) has been modified to a whole other degree. Goofy may be more expressive now, but his spirit has not been given such a change...

I don't want this to be a fight! Let's just keep it at a discussion level, por favor!! :D

I said PERSONALITY, not SPIRIT. There's a difference between the two.

In the 1930's, Mickey was more of a scamp. In the 40's and 50's, he became a "straightman". Many thought of Mickey as a boring character as a straightman. However, Mickey does show off his original personality to an extent in the "Mickey Mouse Works" and "House of Mouse" cartoons.

FIGMENT'S SPIRIT "IS" STILL THE SAME EVEN THOUGH HE BEHAVES DIFFERENTLY, FOR THE LAST TIME!

Some people will never be satisfied or happy with ANYTHING!

And apparently you are only happy with yelling and fighting with people..geez. GrizzlyHall has every right to express unhappiness with with something, and you have the right to disagree but all you are doing is trying to start a fight!

(sorry, I just had to discipline my DD for something and I am still in y mommy mode-LOL)

I am SOOOOOO disappointed! I am a HUGE Figmen fan, and was so looking forward to seeing him again.

We're going to be there the week that it's down!

Well, we leave the afternoon of the 8th, so maybe if we're lucky, we can head over that morning and catch it!!

13 days and counting!!!

It really depends on what you mean by Figment. For example, I like Figment's spirits of creativity, adventure, childish delight, and innocence. I didn't love Figment because he was cute and purple... so I am disspapointed to see what happened. So, I don't want to be yelled at, but to avoid distinction, I'm calling the "new Figment" Fugmant. Just so there's no confusion... :D

 that is hi-larious. Fugment.

I've always liked Figment, and will be going to Epcot to check it out. Any attraction is better than an empty building (yes, even if its Journey into YOUR Imagination)

I disagree with that last statement Journey into Your Imagination was the worst Disney Ride Ever. I'm glad that puppy was put to sleep.
