I've heard a lot of people talking about how terrible/bust John Carter was, which monetary wise, it was, but did any body go into the theater not knowing what to expect, and walk out loving it? I was a little worried I wouldn't be enjoying this movie, and was admittedly lost at some parts, but the last 20 minutes or so of the movie wrapped it up perfectly and I think that was when I loved it. Anyone else with me? Or am I missing the red lining in a major disappointment.

You are not alone. I enjoyed the heck out of it. The lead actor was a little weak as far as star quality goes, but it was a fun movie, looked amazing and had a solid story. It's sad that the rest of the books probably won't get made into movies, but you never know. Major underappreciated movie that demonstrates how much bad "buzz" can kill something. Folks missed a good one here.

Got the blu-ray for fathers day. I loved the movie. Wish I had watched it at the theater. I agree that the last 20 minutes of the movie had me wishing for a second movie..... too bad.

I really liked it. Had a interesting story, amazing special effects, and a pretty space princess. What else do I need in a sci-fi.

We ended up picking up the blue ray as well. The more I watch it, the more I like it.
