Does anyone have any suggestions of good places to jog on WDW property??? Als I think I've seen people jogging around the boardwalk and was wondering if anyone here knew what the distance around that lagoon would be. THANKS

GREAT! Thank you so much...do you know if there is any other information like that for the rest of the resort?

That is all I know of now. You can always go to the Resort Front Desk and ask where jogging paths are. Also like that map says...be creative. If you aren't staying at those resorts make your own runs up. I know that you can have a great run over by the Polynesian. You can run all the way from the TTC to the Grand Floridian. I know the Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness area has plenty of space for jogging. Just ask and be creative and you will be able to have fun runs.

Also, be careful when running. It can get very hot and you don't want to get sick on vacation. Run early in the morning or late at night and STAY HYDRATED!

I'll second this recommendation. Most of the Ft. Wilderness roads have sidewalks, but also the speed limits are kept low so, if you're a jogger at home, the danger factor of road running is minimized as well. Also, we've rented bikes while staying at the Wilderness Lodge near their beach, so if you're with people who don't jog, but would prefer to still hang out with you, that's another great idea.

Buy gatorade at a walgreens off-property when you get down there.

One thing I will say about jogging at WDW -- NEVER EVER jog on a road... always use a sidewalk. If there is no sidewalk, do not jog there.

Many of the roads at WDW are high speed. And those roads inside resorts with low speed limits... well, crazy tourists and late CM's never follow them. *sigh*

When I started at WDW I swore I would never speed along the main property roads. I have gone 15 mph over the limit 3 times thus far, sorry :( Also you can jog around any of the resorts, when I stayed at Riverside there was a good amount of people jogging aroound.

Excellent jogging area is over at the Epcot Resort Area. There are multipleloops available. Around Crescent Lake is 0.8 miles, and you cna run over to MGM, which is a good distance round trip. Do it a few times, very beautiful views.

Another great jog can be found at both Caribbean Beach and Riverside, 1.4 miles and almost 2 respectively. ALso, around a lake so nice sights.

Fort Wilderness and Wildreness Lodge have some good runs too, especially some that were more shaded as I remember.

And I always see people running around the road by the Contemp on the grass. Not sure of the safeness there.

Also, don't run on 192 in black at night, even if it's before the marathon. It's just not a smart idea.

well don't run on 192 at all unless its on a sidewalk. although people do this on a regular basis. also use the walk lights, one lady got seriously injured if not killed at the orange lake country club by not doing this.

True, that's what I was getting at. Don't run on 192.

I nearly got into an accident when a guy swerved into the middle lane to dodge a guy running in the right lane on 192. I was able to get into the left lane.

it doesn't surprise me people due stupid thigns on 192 all the time and from your location I'm guessing you live pretty close to my APT. SO I'm sure you deal with the same things I do on the roads.
