JIYI Cars Being Removed

Here is an update from the www.wdwmagic.com main site:

11 January 2002: JIYI Ride Vehicles

News in from Jon...
"While in Disneyworld this weekend, I saw unidentified, covered ride cars on the back of a flatbed truck heading away from Epcot. Then, while running the Epcot Family Fun 5K, which takes you through some backstage areas of Epcot, I spotted several JIYI ride cars sitting by a loading dock, apparently waiting to be picked up."

So this looks as though either the cars are off for modifications, or are being removed to be replaced with new vehicles.

They could be getting taken off site for storage and/or painting. I wouldnt expect a HUGE modification on them.

Yeah I don't really see why they would need brand new cars. They're probably just being moved somwhere while the rehab goes on.

I know it won't happen, but this was the first sign of really bad things to come for horizons....

remember i said i know it won't happen...just made me think when i read that.

well..it won't happen unless Kodak stops sponsoring disney...if Fuji came along, I think they'd want to demolish the ride building and make something pure-Fuji...

They arnt going to close it, too much money has been pumped into it already...and they still have a sponcor (something Horizons didnt)

I jope for the best, but I worry all too much that refurbishment and now the leaving of vehicles might not be the best sign. Ewwwwww it better not be a walk-thru....too many similiar activities going on here and the Living Seas

LoL..I can assure you it wont be a walkthru....Eisner wouldnt let that happen as he wanted a new RIDE to replace the JIYI mistake...

OK...Le'ts just put everything this way.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?
A) A Ride
B) WILL Feature Figment in some form


;) So that is all we know for sure...of course we can hope that they use nice animatronics and go away from the Institute theme and redo the colors and redo the image works, put it upstairs, open the Figment Cafe...okay, Grizz...dream on...:(

I was thinking about this today...

As hidious as it was...we are all pretty lucky to have ridden on JIYI, it was short lived and many people never had the chance. A LOT if people may not even realize JIYI ever existed (not exactly a BAD thing)...but we have all been on a part of disneys "mistkae" history ;)

LoL..I cant afford it :( The most i could pay for it would be 700 (before shipping) and it passed that a looooooooooooooong time ago.
