New Disney subsidiary announces Las Vegas Project

The Walt Disney Company recently announced its new Subsidiary Journey Into Imagination Inc. to spear head the development and construction of a new Las Vegas resort. The new Las Vegas Resort, whose name as yet to be released, will not carry the Disney moniker although it has been announced that several other Disney brands will be featured at this resort. Journey into Imagination Inc. is a joint venture between Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Regional Entertainment. The planning and development end will be handled by WDI while WDRE will handle the final operation of the resort. JiIi will be cooperating with a number of other major name brand companies to provide an even more attractive experience.

More details are soon to follow as the a representative from Disney has been quoted that the first official press conference will be held in the next couple of days.

Imagineer Boy, why don't you and I just work on your second park as previously discussed and I will re-work this thread to be a continues project of my own, kinda like what WeirdOne did a while back with Press Release and such.

Mear D. Rednif: Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen of the esteemed press, I am Mear D. Rednif the President and CCO of Journey Into Imagination Inc.. Today I will speak to you about the exciting new endeavor that our company is spear head to bring you a totally new and unique Las Vegas experience. We at JiIi are committed to bring quality entertainment and experiences to the public in fun and fascinating new ways. Our new Las Vegas project will do just this, and will accomplish a feat up to this point thought impossible.

Our project will cater to three entirely distinct demographics, it will cater to adult/child families, multi-generational families and mature couples. This truly will be a vacation destination for every one, much like many other of the Walt Disney company destinations. This destination will be different though as it will not carry the Disney moniker, there will be a number of Disney brand related elements in the resort, but the overall resort will be a combination of a number of Disney owned brands and general themed areas.

It is now with out further adieu that I introduce the vic-president of JiIi and chief of R&D, T. Nem Gif.

T. Nem Gif:Good morning, as my colleague said I am Nem Gif and I will give you the first glimpse at our new Las Vegas resort. The first of many revolutionary concepts will are employing with this resort, is a split resort concept. Due to the amount of space need to build such an amazing and inclusive resort, JiIi needed to move away from the most populated areas to find enough land; however knowing the popularity of the "Strip" and the amount of visitors it pulls a second and smaller portion of the resort will be build directly on the strip itself and the two sections of the resort will be connected by a sub-terrain mag-lev to ensure a fast and unique travel experience when transferring from one section of the resort to another.

No with out further delay I present to you your first glimpse as the Walt Disney Company and Journey Into Imagination Inc. proudly present:

The Luna Moenia-Somnuim Resort

The Luna Moenia Resort & Casino will be located directly on the strip across the the Stratosphere Resort. This resort will be entered directly off of Las Vegas Blvd. The resort will be themed to a Turn of the Century-1920's Opulence and Luxury resort. The decor will be a mix of romanticized elements from such places as the original Luna Park and the novel the Great Gatsby creating a feeling of luxury and wealth that can be found in a utopian vision of the beginning of the last century. As this resort is at the end of the strip it will employ an icon tower to draw attention all down the strip. This tower will feature a shimmering Crystal-esc support that will hold a magnificent revolving silver moon which will show splendidly during the day. At night the supports will vanish against the night sky and the silver moon will illuminate with a golden hue, giving the illusion of a golden moon floating directly above the resort.

The Somnuim Resort Complex will be located a short drive down Tropicana Blvd. off of the strip. This resort complex will be massive, so massive that it will be comprised of several smaller resorts, these resorts include: Olympia, Adventure Island, Miramax: Showbiz City, and Imaginarya. These five smaller resorts will each cater toward one or in some cases two of the before listed target areas, this sub-sectioning is what will allow us to cater to such a wide variety or tastes and needs.

As I said before these two main resort sections will be connected via a subterranean maglev rail system dubbed the Midnight Express, this rail will travel directly in-between Luna Moenia and Somnuim through an amazing field of stars and aurora effects. This transportation system will be an attraction in itself.
