1.)How does the butterfly effect work?
2.)Which Figment animatronics are from the original ride

To my knowledge, the butterfly effect is created using ultra-clean mirrors...that's about all I know. I'd like to learn more, though.

is the upside water effect still there? (i haven't been there since the second version of the ride was up)
does anyone knwo how they did that effect

It's still there, but it looks really horrible now compared to the Second Version. In the Third Version it looks something like suran-wrap.

The butterfly effect uses a mirror which divides the center of the cage in half. The real portion of the butterfly is only 1/2 of a butterfly. With the mirror, you see a "whole" butterfly in it's place.

Then when you see the other side of the cage the butterfly is missing and you only see the reflection of the rest of the cage.

I'm rephrasing my second question:Which Figment animatronic was recast in which role?

It might my the Astronaut Figment, because he was the same in the original ride. They just changed his costume for JIIWF.
