It appears that JetBlue is finally coming to Chicago. They'll start a very limited service out of O'Hare, and so far, they only have JFK and Long Beach as their initial destinations. I know, because the first thing I checked was to see if they have a direct service to Orlando from O'hare. They don't have it yet. They connect you to Orlando via JFK.

Still, I expect them to have a direct flight to Orlando, hopefully soon. I already signed up for their TrueBlue program in anticipation of that. So finally, Southwest has a competition for my business in flying to Orlando!

I wish they'd hurry up with the ORD-MCO flight. I need to make my reservation by end of January! If not, Southwest is going to get my money again.

As Mad already said, we're getting JetBlue out of Stewart directly to Orlando. :D Now we'll have three airlines going to Orlando (Allegiant, JetBlue, & AirTran).

JetBlue Rocks!, I just wish they had the capacity to expand at Newark. With only 2 gates, destinations are limited.

It will be difficult to expand at EWR since there is so little space. They did get anew maintenance facility not too long ago. Continental controls most of the airport. I can see planes from my house departing southbound via 4R and 4L and most of them are Continental. The majority being 737s followed by 757s.

I personally think Continental utilizes their gates in A at EWR just to keep the competition out. I don't see a reason why their flights to DCA, IAD, BOS, ATL, and ORD cannot depart from terminal C, now that they have 3 concourses of gates. Don't get me wrong, I like Continental but they absolutely control EWR, which could use some competition to keep prices lower. EWR always seems to be more expensive to fly out of compared to LGA and JFK.

I hope JetBlue sticks with EWR and takes advantage of any opportunity to expand, should the opportunity come about.

As long as I fly for free, I am only able to fly from JFK.

Imagine, city folks coming up here to use the airport!

Do they even know where we are?

Seriously, planes have been diverted from the NYC are here many times... I think we will get more people from CT since its a straight shot down 84 to Newburgh.
