Our plan is to fly into MCO midday Sat Oct 29 and out early morning Fri Nov 4.

We prefer EWR (Newark NJ) or HPN (Westchester NY) but after following prices the past 2-3 months they remained by far most expensive.

Today we settled on a flight because we were able to get EWR coming back for 5.7k points (or only $59 cash!!!), and JFK to MCO 8.2k points ($99 cash). With gas prices so volatile we decided to book. Using our Jet Blue card includes free checkin luggage to 50lbs.

Round trip is almost 14k points +$11, or $160 cash. Hope this helps anybody watching.

We’ve been watching Undercover Tourist for Car Rental and for a large SUV they continue to have the best price, so we went ahead and booked that today as well.

Sat-Fri Oct 29 - Nov 4 in a Chevy Tahoe for $488 (but we had to buy an AMC soda ticket first to access the ‘50% off’).

Good luck fellow fall WDW travelers :)

ETA - rental through Budget

I’ve flown Jet Blue. Just pack a little patience. Jet Blue midday is generally departing not on time.

Yeah I figured in the possibility of 1-2 hour delay leaving. Hoping the flight is early enough that at worst we still fly out that evening. Gives us a chance to check out T5 Rooftop area lol. We’ve used Jet Blue over a dozen times out of NYC area and experienced plenty of weather related nail biters over the years between blizzards and potential hurricanes. Luckily we’ve only been threatened with disruptions so far, ended up not affecting us. I can handle a few hours delay. Cancellation not so much :(

I've been waiting to book my travel for September and December, and JetBlue out of HPN is cheaper today than it was a couple of months ago. When I looked mid-May, the Blue fare for mid-September was $179 from HPN-MCO and $204 from MCO-HPN. Today it was $149 each way, so I jumped on it. Well, I jumped on 9,400 points one way and $149 the other way. ;)

I also found that they'd lowered their fares for early December (12/2-7 are my dates), as the last time I looked, DL out of LGA was significantly less expensive, and today was only $20 cheaper per person--when you add in the tolls and the difference in parking fees, that makes it a wash.

9,400 points is good! Even with watching prices for a couple months, HPN was ~14k for our dates (each way). I think the cheapest was 11k, but flight times didn’t work well. Wish we could do HPN too! Feels less stressful traveling through there.
