Just another reason not to tell young kids what they are going to get to do at Disney before they actually get there and get in line. We made that mistake more than once over the years telling one of our daughter about something they would see or do only for it be unavailable when we got there.... Now I've learned. Plan things like that in secret and then when they don't materialize only you will know and you wont have to deal with the crushed dreams of your kid.Aren't these show times usually updated 30 days out?
Our upcoming trip is scheduled for 8/23-8/30, If there is no Jedi Training, I think our youngest might literally climb to the top of Spaceship: Earth and fling himself off.
Don't worry!!!! The schedule hasn't been released past then yet. I had scheduled a VIP tour for November, (guarantees a JTA spot), and was told that the times aren't released past mid August or something, but they will be any day now.1) Our kids enjoy getting excited about things they will experience.
2) They are mature enough that we would tell them ahead of time if something was going to be unavailable (as we have with Dinosaur and Big Thunder Mtn being down
3) Obviously I was engaging in Hyperbole about his reaction
4) Do you really think the best advice to give people taking young ones to WDW is to NOT get their kids excited? "Hey Timmy! Guess what? We're going to Disneyworld? That's all I'm gonna say about it for 6 months."

Probably not to the OP, but then a forum isn't intended as simply a means of answer an OP's question or we all just send in emailed replies. It clearly wouldn't help the OP because they already have their kid primed and pumped for the Jedi training... but it might give another visitor the idea of not getting their kids all pumped up for something that they may or may not even be able to experience on their trip....Then again one could also ask you how was your response of any value to the OP as well?I don't see where your response was of any help to the posted thread.

I only have two children but they can cover the variety of children behaviours depending upon the situation. But that is my responsibility as a parent to manage as I see fit. Unless I specifically ask for parenting advise I an not looking for it in my OPs. I know people like to share their opinions within these forums and the reason in one of my OPs regarding FPs/parks I ask people not to share their opinions on having to complete the 'thrill' rides as I stated we were not a thrill ride family.
