Roller coaster loses wheels in Japan

25.08.2003

Two people were injured at an amusement park in central Japan when the world's tallest and longest roller coaster screeched to a halt after dropping wheels.

The Steel Dragon 2000, which zooms along a 2479m track and drops 93.5m, lost several wheels from the right side of the front coach at the Nagashima Superland park outside Nagoya.
