I just wanted to tell everyone that the Japan store at Epcot has been redone and it lookes incredible now. I just went there tonight and it was awesome. They store is bigger and they still have the same stuff but the way they did the store is really nice. I loved the store before they fixed it up and now it's even better. I'm a real big fan of this store so it was news to me and I just wanted to tell someone about it!

I Lived in Japan for 3 years and the sites and sounds in that gift shop bring back some great memories!

Hooray! Mitsukoshi is one of my favorite stores on property so I can't wait to see the improved version next time I go!

Are there any changes to the rest of Japan?

He He...time to go to Japan and buy some more stuff...

Here is an idea though. They need to import all the cool toys made by Medicom only for Tokyo Disney. They are sooo much better than the stuff here...

Sadly there have been no changes made to the rest of the pavillion at Japan, but the store itself has all kinds of cool new merchandise. Like they have all these cool Godzilla figures and this awesome Dragonball Z shirt.

My DS 10, makes this his annual right of passage to visit Japan. He saves his extra money he's earned and takes his sweet time choosing his cards, toys, and shirts. If that buys me more time to enjoy other parts of Epcot I gladly let him. :D

the japan store is one of my vices. i cant go there without buying at least candy. last 3 times i was there this summer i bought rice bowls and a saki set. we also bought like 4 bottles of saki cause a pint of rum at the hotel was $40. saki was a better deal.

So, will the cart that was selling the marrionettes outside of the Japan pavilion still be out there or did that move back into the new store? I knew they were performing rehab on that in Feb when I was there.

1) What hotel in their right mind would charge $40 for a pint?
2) what kind of rum was it?
3) ....Saki is way better than rum ;)

By the way -- if you're looking for really good tasting Japanese food off Disney property -- check out Kobe Steakhouse on International Drive. It's about 20-25 mins from Disney. Excellent food. Great service. I highly recommend calling ahead for reservations.

I didn't see it, but maybe I missed it. Also it was late at night and maybe they just pulled in all the stuff. Then again it might of been in the store and I just missed it. I do know what you are talking about though.

I agree with you there. That place is awesome. For me this is one of those places that is a very special treat. And the amount of food you get is insane!

it was coronado springs it was captain morgan rum and saki is definitely NOT better than rum. it took 3 bottles to do the job of 1 bottle of rum. it took quite a bit of saki to get the party started
