Ok, I'm trying to pack for our trip tommorrow, but I don't know what to pack? Is it warm enough for shorts at all? Will we get a chance to go swimming at all this time of year? Thanks!

Hi Figaro! Average Temps. in Jan. is 71(high)49(low). I would pack a fair share of both especially looking at the forecast for this coming week.:( Check out www.accuweather.com or www.weatherchannel.com for a complete forcast.:lookaroun There are some 70's and some 30's. But it is all warmer than what you and I have right now.:lookaroun Have a great time and maybe I will see u there...

I am not especially warm-blooded, so take that with a grain of salt.

Highs in the 70's means that early morning temps will be 55-ish, and it will be in the low 50's at fireworks/Fantasmic time.

And although I probably wouldn't wear a coat at 50 degrees to run from my car into Wal-Mart, standing still in line or sitting on those (concrete?) benches at Fantasmic is a whole different ball game.

I would take long pants, short sleeved shirts, and sweatshirts for layering (tied around waist or stuffed into a locker during the day).

For me, shorts would be a waste of luggage space.

The weather in Floridia isn't as warm as it was in the 1970s, I remember being in shorts and no jacket most of the time durring the days and pants and light jacket at night, I would pack for cool weather and bring a few things for the warmer days , but it will cool off at night, if you pack for the colder weather then you wont get caught off gaurd with shorts and sleevless shirts and be cold. I would definatly bring a fall jacket for the nights just in case and a light wind breaker for the days. I was there in late October of 93 and it was cold every day but one and rained the last two days I was there so I got to go in shorts on one day out of ten. So like the boy scouts say Be Prepared

It's a crapshoot. I remember when I was there about 5 yrs. ago in January, it never got above 50 degrees. We went last year in Jan. (this same week) and the temperatures were in the mid 80's everyday.

Tomorrow is supposed to be like today. Today was absolutely gorgeous (perfect theme park weather), high of 75, but it was chilly for the first few hours at the Magic Kingdom. I wore jeans, short sleeve polo shirt, and a sweater, which I took off around 11:00. Even managed a swim in the late afternoon!

However, it will get cooler starting Thursday (highs in the 50s). May want a warm jacket, sweater, and shirt (can take off layers when needed, then).

Okay, must get back to the magic... :)
