Having been of veteran of Jan trips....I would think that those two times would be buisier...I usually go at the end of the month after MLK weekend comes to a trickle..However, with NFL's Pro Bowl Disney decided to join in the festivites with a week long bunch of events. This also includes the crowds of Tour Groups that are in full effect making it buisier than normal. Also during this time Cheerleader competitions also add to the crowds..This also brings even More guests to Epcot as they moved The festival of The Masters from Disney Springs into a full out Festival of the Arts...Wait times can vary from 40 mins to 120 for bigger rides and It gets busy during the weekend....Weather wise it's usually inthe 80's with 50's to 60's at nightime..

We go every year during marathon weekend as we run the races. Last year It went from hailing and freeing rain, in the high 20s (on my birthday no less) to somewhat warm temps in the high 60s. The first 4 days it was freezing. This past year, weather was nice enough for jeans or shorts and a short sleeved shirt most days. As far as crowds, marathon weekend never seems as crowded to me as spring break or anything like that but definitely not so "not crowded" as September-ish. Don't know if that helps at all lol
