January/February

I am planning my first solo trip for 2022. At first I was thinking March but now I’m leaning towards Jan/Feb because the resort prices are so much cheaper. Is there anything that would make a difference crowd wise between either January 22-29 or January 29-February 5? These are the two weeks I’m currently looking at. Trying to decide if there is any difference between the two.
Thanks so much!

Mid-February/March are usually at the height of Spring Break for many schools, so your choices at the end of January are very good. As long as you stay away from going during a holiday weekend (like MLK weekend), you should have lighter crowds overall.

I think it might be a good time to go, although it could be COLD!!

If we cancel our trip in late October 2021, we are looking at Jan. - early Feb. But, I don't want to be at Disney and it be freezing!

So it’s funny you say that because being from New England, my kids were miserable once when we went in September. So for our last trip in 2020, we purposely picked January hoping for cooler weather. Once again, it was so HOT while we were there. I think Florida likes to mess with us 🤣
It was in the 80’s and so humid every day. I remember reading after we got back that it was the hottest week so far that winter. So you never know!

True, I think January may be 60's during the days and cooler at night but you never know. We were there one year for our son's marathon and it was in the 30's at beginning of marathon and it was pretty miserable.

If you go in January, be sure to take mostly light weight long sleeves and slacks (no shorts). You will need a rain jacket and a heavier fleece type jacket. You almost need to pack for any kind of weather. The thing is, when it is cold in Florida, it is really cold.

But the crowd level should be low during the week!
