January discounts?

Last year on Disneyworld.com there was a special called winter thaw that had value resorts at $55 a night and some discounts on moderates and also animal kingdom lodge. I've been kind of waiting to book for Jan. 1-6 but don't think I should wait much longer since November is right around the corner.

I'm going with 2 friends and we stayed in All Star Sports last year at a great rate. Just hoping to get a discount again, any hope?

Wow, I'd love to see a rate of $55 a night, or any other specials! I, too, am going in early January. I'll follow this thread closely.

Mary at Mousesavers.com thinks the days of those kind of deals for the general public are over for a while since park attendance is picking back up. I hope for you that she's wrong though!
