Just saw the theme for the January Marathon Weekend 5k and am seriously considering changing plans to arrive a day earlier so I can run in a poncho & sombrero:

Disney's Family Fiesta 5K featuring the 3 Caballeros!

I told my wife the theme yesterday and she said I should run it wearing a sombrero. And then 5 seconds later she was like "And a poncho!"

Hopefully this means they will have all 3 Caballeros out that day instead of just Donald.

They had Jose Carioca and Panchito out in front of the Mexican Pavillon during the full marathon in January.

But but but.... That would mean I need to stop during the full. : ( That is what the 5ks are for. Stopping for every single character. Thanks for the heads up. Any other random Mexican/Latin American themed characters/costumes they could pull out for this?

I'm not sure if he's Latin or Mexican but they also had Zorro on a horse during the full marathon. He was somewhere around mile 14 or 15 in the back roads between MK and AK.

And I stopped for EVERYBODY during my full marathon. That's why I was there. In my mind I could run a marathon anywhere but were else was I going to be able to get my picture with some of these rare Disney characters. Those characters are why I run.

Wasn't Zorro Spanish?

Wow, Zorro mounted on his horse! I wasn't planning on bringing a camera when I run the half marathon but I will if they have characters like that out. If you tell me next that the Lone Ranger was out with Silver I would probably go into a seizure.

No Lone Ranger but Davy Crockett was hanging out during the full in January.
