Will the New Years crowds still be high from January 3rd-7th 2017? Will Toy Story Land, Star Wars Land, and Pandora be done by then?

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
No most crowds die down starting 1/1 on each day get less and less. Schools usually are back in session by/around those dates your asking about so people have to head back home by those dates.

You won't have CRAZY holiday-level crowds, but the Disney Marathon is January 4th-8th. That means the parks are going to be pretty crowded, and you'll also have delays on the roads. (Also, if you're in the parks at rope drop or for EMH, you may find chunks of the sidewalk blocked off due to the races. That stuff usually clears out by 10 or 11am, though!) Personally I don't like visiting on marathon weekends (unless I'm RUNNING the marathon, which is a different story!) because of the sudden influx of people. If you can bump your trip back by a week, you'd be much better off!

Sadly, none of those lands will be completed for your trip. Pandora is likely Spring 2017, TSL in Summer 2018 (hopefully), and SWL in 2020

@Chef Kronk We sure do have a long way to go... 2020. I was hoping for 2019, when I'll be turning 50!!!!!

I was last there this year from the 9th-16th, and the crowds were pretty light, and the weather was cool and perfect! We also had some overlap with the marathon, which was a bit of an inconvenience at times but altogether not too bad.
