Hi Britt. My family and I are going in January and we love this time of year! We have been in the past and the weather varies at times but at least its not roasting hot. The last time we went, it was in the low 80's the first day and by the time we left it was in the upper 50's. Hope this helps! :)

Just keep in mind to watch the forecast for your trip in the last few days before you go. Like a poster mentioned above, it may be nice and toasty, or downright chilly... or both during your visit. Always a good idea to pack at least a light sweatshirt/jacket, as it usually cools off pretty good at night even if it's warm enough during the day.

Yes ma'am, we have been twice in January, once we had absolutely fantastic weather, and the other was a bit cool and rainy for most of the trip, so its kind of the hit or miss weather month.

Just be careful what you wish for... we recently had a stretch here in Central Florida where it was having a hard time making it into the 60s in the afternoon. Here in Tampa, we had one night where we hit a low of 33!

Being from PA, it was more than bearable for me, but for some, that stretch of cool weather was rough.

Oh yes, Im from CO, so we deal with a lot of cooooold weather (why I think FL heat is nearly unbearable for me). So I'll make sure we pack a bit extra to layer with and things for our ears :D

Yes actually. Am planning on being down there from the 4th to the 12th. January is a lovely time to go. The crowds tend to be lower and it's cooler. I was just there last January. But the weather is unpredictable. You usually won't have to deal with any rain, but the temperatures vary. We were there and it was in the 80's, which is actually unusual. I've heard people complain that a few weeks later it was in the 50's. I've been down there during freeze warnings. You have to pack more and check the weather the week before you go. But it's very nice.

I'll be going in January with a GIANT group of people!
I went this last December and the weather was nice. In the late morning / early afternoon it was warm enough for dresses or shorts but by late afternoon / early evening I was ready to change into jeans and a hoodie.
Maybe I'll see ya there! :)

You won't sweat in January, but the weather can be unpredictable. You might get days where you wake up to 60 degrees and the next day you'll wake up to 30 degrees. It all depends if a front comes through. Crowd wise you'll be fine. We like to take a trip in January because it's a slow time, but we will go in early December this year to see everything lit up for Christmas without having to deal with holiday crowds. Keep in mind there tend to be some ride closures as some rides are refurbished during that time because it's a slow time.

You won't be sweating like a pig!!! But it can get cold in January. Last January, people were wrapped up in blankets in the AK, lol. I guess the blankets were cheaper than the coats.

Still, better than September, IMO.

I'm going in late February 2014. I'm worried about the weather too. It'll be nice to get out of the freezing weather here, so I'll welcome 50's, but I'd like to get some pool or hot tub time in while there. Low 70's would be a dream come true. Keeping my fingers crossed.
