January 2014 trip, Need advice!

Hey guys, as I'm sure you all know the January 2014 prices are coming out on July 10th. My last trip was this past January, and I cannot wait to go back! Well anyways, back to the whole point of this thread...My last trip I stayed from January 7th - 13th. This time my girlfriend and I are planning to stay until the 15th. Now here is my dilemma ... I already have the air fare booked and paid for but our leaving flight is at 1:15. Now personally I do not want to leave Disney anytime in the morning never mind early afternoon so I'm in a pickle. I need to convince my girlfriend into taking the later flight which is 6:55pm.

To give you a rough idea this is a quick sample of what I have planned to do...

7th: Downtown Disney, Pool? Dinner most likely at the Grand Floridian
8th: Magic Kingdom
9th: Hollywood Studios
10th: Animal Kingdom
11th: Possibly a water park, resort hop, DTD, Dinner
12th: Epcot
13th: Hollywood Studios
14th Magic Kingdom
15th: Aaaand here is the issue...leaving at 1:15pm there isn't much room to do anything extraordinary.

All in all I'd really like to stay until and re-book our flight for 6:55pm. Do you guys have any suggestions on how I could convince my girlfriend to want to stay later? Any ideas on what we could do differently or a way to spread out some time?

Thank you everyone!

Is there a fare difference or change fee? I'm used to Southwest where we usually have neither. If that's the case, I'd go with "we are paying for the night at the hotel anyway. Why waste that money and leave WDW at 10 am if we can move the flight and stay til 3 pm with time for a park on the 15th?"

If it costs a lot to change the flight, it's a harder sell. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, it would only be 22 dollars more! and we could leave at 6:55pm instead of 1:15 so I personally think its so worth it.

I think that's an easy sell. I was listing times when you'd likely have to leave wdw for the airport. A 1:15 flight usually means you wake up, eat breakfast, and go. No fun. 6:55 flight, you wake up, eat breakfast, check your bags at the resort, and enjoy a theme park til about 2 pm. 5 hrs of Disney for $22 is well worth it.

Actually just had a similar discussion with my wife between an 11am flight and a 6 pm flight--made more difficult for us since we will be taking 2 one-year-olds, but we went with the 6 pm flight for a longer vacation.

Oooh I see what you're saying sorry about that lol. And I mentioned what you said about that and it looks like I get to change our flight to 6:55pm!

Has she said she didn't want to leave later? Give any reasons?

because we wouldn't have "Anything" left to do on the last day, but I'm sure we will find something..Any suggestions anyhow? I switched the flight yesterday to the 6:45pm :)
