I was there last January and as I've said in the past the weather was perfect! The sun shined all day and it was not too hot at all it's was just right! We didn't have a problem with crowds either, it slow leaving the park at the end of day, after Wishes everyone then heads down Main Street to the exit, which can be quite crowded but it's nothing to worry about :) as for refurbishments i'm not too sure, you'll have to check the calander for that!

Hope this helps!

My wife and I went on our honeymoon on Jan 5-12, 2001. The weather depends on if a cold front comes thru. The first 3 days we was there, it was around 60-70 and then a cold front came thru dropping it to around 40-50. Crowds are small, that is a huge plus. You will not need any fastpasses cause all rides are like a 5-15 minute wait. When we left on the 12th we started seeing many sign going up closing some rides and redoing some of the hotel rooms. We stayed at the CB resort.

We were there this past January as well. We hit a beautiful weather streak. It had been cold before we got there, then the whole time we were there it was sunny and 80's every day. On our last day, it rained, then after we left I guess it got pretty nasty and cold.

The weather is kind of hit and miss, but most likely you will encounter some refurbs and shorter park hours. If you go in early January you'll have the marathon to contend with. We just steered clear of the parks on that day and we were fine.

Park hours a shorter, but shorter lines evens it out a bit. IMO January is a great time to go.
