Jan Hours change

[Am I there yet]

I just looked at the calendar for my upcoming trip (15 days!!!!) and noticed that Tues Jan 1th the Magic Kingdom changed from an 8 pm closing to a 6pm closing with no fireworks. Thought it was strange-- never saw a 6pm closing without a party or something going on. :shrug:

I'm guessing you meant to say the 14th? but it looks like from 1/2 until 1/18 the MK is closing around 7:00 every night. It might just be because it isn't a busy time of year? I would go on a monday if you could for EMH

Not necessarily--when I get there (January 7th) the MK is open until 9pm :shrug:

There is probably a private event at the park that evening. We had a similar situation in November- one day of our trip, MK closed at 6:30pm (there was Wishes, though, at 6pm). There was a big healthcare convention in town, and they rented out the MK that evening.
