Hi everyone, So we know we want to go to Disney world in January 2024 for our 10 year wedding anniversary we will be taking our two kids who will be 4 and 9, last time we went was in 2019 and its when Disney had the Free dining offers and we booked about 18months in advance through Virgin. We only had our oldest who was 4 at that time and the free dinning was amazing as we wanted to do all the character breakfasts.

This time though I know Disney no longer do free dinning and give credit per room (which isn't a lot for two weeks) so I'm not sure the best way to book now? or when the best time to book is to get the best offers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(we are in the UK, with no Disney vac club etc)

I don't know much but I would suggest you go to a Travel Agent and chat with them and see what they would suggest. They will know about discounts or promotions. And just because you get their advice doesn't mean you have to book through them!! Our UK friends get better deals, somehow. I know some other UK friends can help with that!

With the recent change to the booking window for the US we don’t know what impact that will have on U.K. bookings. Currently as you probably realise, it seems you can’t book a departure date beyond 31st Dec 2023.

The U.K. site don’t have room discounts, but packages often come with special deals. Up until now at least it was usually possible to book well over a year ahead, albeit sometimes there would be some small print to the effect that the accommodation couldn’t be confirmed until around a year out.

If they are going to limit the booking window it could impact winter bookings. It’s probably worth calling one of the companies and asking them directly. At least then you’ll know what the position is.
