Caribbean Beach is an awesome resort! Although it can be a little inconvient, just depends how much you use the big pool, gift shop, straw market, etc... We always use to stay at Port Orleans-French Quarter, but then they had been closing it for "refurbishment" the last 2 years, so we stayed at Caribbean Beach in Barbados. This one was the closest to the check in desk and its bus stop was close. (all the islands have their own bus stops) but this one wasn't a long walk at all because we stayed on the side directl;y across from it. I am going again in March and we are staying in Trinidad South. Both Trinidads are directly in the middle of the resort and closest to the big pool. (each island have their own little pools as well) But otherwise, between Aruba and Jamaica, id pick Jamaica because USUALLY that bus stop comes before Aruba...that all depends on which way the buses come in, but 8 out of 10, they go Jamaica first.
