Okay so I just got back. Now getting ready for F&W and MNSSHP in about 30 days. I went to MK last Sunday sans pumpkins and all. I went back last Tuesday and all the Halloween decorations were up (kind of cool).

I noticed at WOD in the Springs and at the Emporium....there is a lot of Skellington merch....more (a lot more) than I can remember from years past.

Anybody know why?

I get that...but there is a lot more than in previous years. Skellington has always been popular during Halloween.....but the amount of merchandise they have out now seems to be more than "hey, it's halloween"

The Jack merchandise always increases around the Halloween season and then diminishes again slightly afterward. It's more than likely because it's one of their very few "Halloween" themed characters they can push. They also push HM merchandise more during the same time period.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...for Jack fans.

Because its one of the characters thats pretty much gotten stuck as a seasonal thing. For his fans, theyd look for him all year long but for others they wouldnt.

I'd learned over the years where to find Jack and Co (tho' I wish there was more "Co") on property. DHS used to be a fest between Villains in Vogue and TOT. Now TOT has dropped Jack and Villains isn't so much Villains anymore. In the MK, Pirates usually dedicates a nice amount of room to Jack and Co., even tho' thematically it makes little sense. (The former Downtown Disney carried Jack, oddly, in the back o' the Xmas shop). Now that Haunted Mansion has a dedicated shop, Jack's pretty much either mixed in with others year round or we wait til Halloween (notice the Xmas part of Nightmare Before... is less and less as well).
We were at Disney Springs Saturday and I was surprised by the amount of Jack and Co @World of Disney. A lot of the shirt art is the same year after year, but there's always a surprise or 2 (I got the purple Jack shirt that mixes Haunted Mansion iconography, so that was new and cool).
