ESPN.com has a great article up about the U.S. Olympic Basketball Team. It's nice to finally hear something good about it. It makes me proud to wear my no. 3 jersey.
Ya know, I couldn't stand AI when he first came into the league. Then the Sixers made the Finals against the Lakers a few years back and I got to watch him play and I slowly began to respect him. Now, after reading about how he conducted himself at the Olympics and his mindset, I'm truly impressed. AI is a good guy. Looks like Larry Brown could take some humility/class lessons from him.
People can question Iverson's attitude, his size, his lifestyle but the one thing no one can ever question is his heart. I think he evens beats out Michael Jordan in that category.
Now, if he can only equal Michael Jordan in his pronouncation and proper use of the English language. After all, he did graduate with a degree in English from Georgetown University.
It's good to hear that Iverson has finally decided to grow up. I was living in Virginia (where he went to school) and heard about all the trouble is started. HE was in the news at least once a week and it was not good. Like I said, I am VERY glad he has changed his ways.
