I was at AK about a week ago, and with some extra time on my hands I hit up ITTBAB. It's not my favorite show, but I like a few of the effects and the animatronics. I sat down pretty close to where Hopper enters, and during the show there was the puff of smoke but no Hopper. I realize that his AA is prone to break, but I still thought it was bad show. The rest of the show was a bit awkward without him but...passable.
My main question is: how does the show run when Flik's AA isn't working? The excuse with no Hopper could be that he's "flying" or that it's too dark to see him, but Flik's AA interacts directly with the audience and other lighting/dialogue that starts the show. Without him, it makes no sense. Obviously Disney is ok with running a Hopper-less show, but what happens in a Flik-less show? It's a strange question, but it had me wondering after I walked out of the theater.
