So this is a combination of trip planning and Disneyland related so hopefully its in the right section...

I just booked my flight this morning- I'm going to Disneyland! I can only go for 3 days- Sunday April 11th thru Tuesday April 13th- so I haven't quite figured out an exact touring schedule yet. My parents are visiting some family in CA for 8 days and my mom asked me if I wanted to join them for a few days and check out DL with her. My husband will not be joining us- we were just in WDW in September so he doesn't have the Disney itch right now (I have it year round). He's also a bit more frugal than me

If anyone has any DL touring tips I would love to hear them! My parents only want to go to for 2 days- one day to DL and one to DCA. I'm thinking those 2 days should be Monday and Tuesday since crowds will be heavier on Sunday. I think Sunday I might just go by myself to check it out. I just want to walk around and really soak everything in since I've never been before. Also, my parents don't like big thrill rides so I might do a few by myself that day. It will be a little sad going by myself on the first day but who cares! I'll be in Disneyland!!

Congrats on the trip - it will be a blast.

As for advice, I only offer this tidbit ... have a kabob at Bengal BBQ, ride IJA .. repeat as necessary ..

First trip to DL, how exciting! My advice.. In addition to the big E-Tickets, take the time to explore the small attractions that are also unique to DL like Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Sleeping Beauty Walkthrough, and the Animation Academy at DCA. The classic Fantasyland rides like Pinnochio, Alice, Storybook Land Canal Boats, and Mr. Toad are always fun. And don't miss the fireworks!

Thank you for the tips! I am very excited for the FL rides that are not at wdw- and also for the fireworks!

Will World of Color be open by then? Every time I try to google, all I can find is that it is opening this spring...

thanks again!

WoC is expected to premiere sometime around the end of April.. I don't know when/if they will do soft openings or previews, but if they do you'll hopefully be able to catch one of those?
