So I have a trip booked in early October so a bunch of friends and I can enjoy Food and Wine.
We are booked at Saratoga with a hope to change to another resort closer to Epcot...and last week I was talking to a friend and doing the preliminary plans for what we want to do. When I was talking to this one friend, she looked at me and I could see she didn't have the 'excitement'.
We were there as a group last March and that is when we decided to go for F&W. But in the intervening time, one member of the group had to bow out and we replaced her with another person. Now, we all get along and there aren't personality issues...but when I asked her what the problem was she said, "It won't be the same as last year." I know every trip is different - weather, special events all are variable....While we all enjoyed the company of the one person, it shouldn't change the composition so drastically.
I don't know what to say to her when she says this... I know last time we did a few special dinners which I wouldn't replicate so we could try some new things... but has anyone ever dealt with this issue? What did you say? Is there anything I could plan to give it that 'wow' factor again?
