"It Won't Be the Same"

So I have a trip booked in early October so a bunch of friends and I can enjoy Food and Wine.

We are booked at Saratoga with a hope to change to another resort closer to Epcot...and last week I was talking to a friend and doing the preliminary plans for what we want to do. When I was talking to this one friend, she looked at me and I could see she didn't have the 'excitement'.

We were there as a group last March and that is when we decided to go for F&W. But in the intervening time, one member of the group had to bow out and we replaced her with another person. Now, we all get along and there aren't personality issues...but when I asked her what the problem was she said, "It won't be the same as last year." I know every trip is different - weather, special events all are variable....While we all enjoyed the company of the one person, it shouldn't change the composition so drastically.

I don't know what to say to her when she says this... I know last time we did a few special dinners which I wouldn't replicate so we could try some new things... but has anyone ever dealt with this issue? What did you say? Is there anything I could plan to give it that 'wow' factor again?

"Good riddance"? Seriously though, if she doesn't want ago, definitely don't bring her along. One bad apple will spoil the bunch. Go and have fun with everyone and the new person.

Something to consider if you don't want to be at Saratoga and are willing to be off site is Wyndham Bonnet creek. It is right next to Epcot, rooms are much nicer, it is far less expensive, and you can get insane deals for it.

Saratoga Springs is fantastic. Spent a week there in a two bedroom in the Congress Park section with a fantastic view of DTD. Four nice pools, great landscaping, beautiful resort. We loved it, but we love staying at different resorts each time. Really like the Epcot area resorts as well.
