It happened to me...

Well, here I am 8 days back from a wonderful trip to WDW, I'm now busy deciding on what the next trip will entail... I finally decided to go in 2004 for the Holidays and do all the Christmas things at the World plus Grinchmas. I was busy talking to my wife about this the other day and then she hit me... "We just got back from our trip, we don't need to think about another one right now... screech :brick: " I know she is very into Disney, but this hit me hard, D'oh when did I pass the line from her to become a Disney Freak and leave her as a Disney Fan?:(

It saddened me a bit but I realized I need to keep things like this to myself until closer to time to do them (not two years out), it was just too much for her atm I guess. At least she is more into Disney than most Spouses, but I guess I am being crazy planning another trip so soon after getting back.

Thankfully I do have you guys to feed my Disney Fire til time comes to bring the subject up to my wife again. THen again, reading here propably promotes my Excitement in the first place. Oh Bother.

C-O-M-E-D-Y!!!, Kudos to you dude.

BTW 17 days for me and counting, can't wait. Get to go with my wife, best friend, and his 4 year old son, who's never been there before. I am more excited about this trip than any ever. I guess I am more excited that we get to show him all this cool stuff for the first time. He doesn't even know yet. We are all keeping it a secret until we get there.:sohappy:

It happened to me

I guess we're all alike. I'm planning my trip back while I'm still there sometimes. We've been fortunate to be able to go 2 or 3 times a year. Not long trips but it helps us make it from year to year. .4 to 8 days a trip. We're going in January (3 days to go) This will be our 23rd trip. Everywhere else we have been seems like a waste of time and $. I scrimp and save from month to month to do this. I even babysit for DISNEY DOLLARS. It's more fun than getting my dircet deposit each week. (And I get to enjoy my niece too.) Our first trip was in 1993 for our 25th anniversary. It took me all those years to go there. I could kick myself. Thought it was to expensive ---- out of my reach. Your trip is as expensive as you make it. There are lots of ways to cut corners. Hope no one makes the same mistake that we did because they couldn't afford it.

been there done that type of thing ......i even tried to tempt him with a week at a beach some where but hes unconvinced and i fear will remain that way :(

Sorry tybroid, that is kinda depressing. Hope you get him to change his mind.

I'm a lucky one. When I was a about 10 years old I told my family that the girl I married would have to go to DisneyWorld for our honeymoon or I wouldn't marry her. Wouldn't you know it, I married a great girl who is just as big a Disney fan as I am (or more so). Of course, we did go for our honeymoon.

It's never to early to plan. Speaking of which....

33 Days to go... AND

84 Days to go... AND

191 Days to go... AND

248 Days to go

tybroid59--I have the exact same problem with my husband. When I took him for his first time he said to me:

"What is this Hell week?"

....when I tried to get him up for Early Entry for MK one day.

Jeez.....

That was it for him. But no matter--since then I've taken a ton of trips without him, I can always find someone else to go with even if I have to pay for some of it.

I've been with my grandparents and son
My best friend and her son
My best friend and me alone (best trip ever!)
And just got back 4 days ago from a trip with my son, his best friend, and my mother in law. My mother in law absolutely loved every bit of it...I was so surprised!

So if he won't go then go with your kids alone or another family. Don't let him spoil the Disney fun!!!

it's never too soon to start planning! heck, we're going in 3 days, but a week ago mom made reservations for june 2003 at wilderness lodge villas! we've always been that way though...get back from a trip and immediately start making plans for the next one. just give your wife some time, and i'm sure she'll bounce back!

trip planning ahead

Don't feel so bad. I usually start planning my next WDW vacation way before I even leave the one that I am on at the time. I will be going again December 28, 2002 to January 4, 2003 with my brother DarthDarrel, my mom, my son, his girlfriend, her daughter, our friend Troy, his wife and their daughter. Knowing me and my brother we will already have the next trip planned before we even touch down at the Orlando International airport on December 28th. 34 days!!!!!!:sohappy: :sohappy:

I'm Crazy4Disney too. The last trip was just last week with my mom and I already booked my December 2003 trip with my hubby!! My husband was never at Disney until our honeymoon in Dec 2000. Do you believe he was not very impressed...what is wrong with this man??? Did I really marry someone like him???? Anyways, he has no choice in the matter. The more he goes there, the more his inner child will come out!! It's another world to me!! Would love to live there forever. Hang in there....the excitement will kick in!!

Very Very glad to see that I am not alone in this world. Everytime I get home my husband says thats the last trip for a few years and a few weeks later I am itching to know when the next trip is. This next 12 months is going to be good. i just got home on the 18th and as I was there shopping I kept saying...I don't need to buy that now, they'll have something better in January when I get here. Now my husband has suggested that we head out to WDW for Easter and Thanksgiving. A trip is already booked and paid for in August. Sure glad I bought the Annual Pass. :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Hello all, I too would live in Disney if I could find a feasable and rational way to do so. Can't wait for my next trip!

WDW from December 28, 2002 until January 4, 2003.
