It Felt Like Epcot 94

They should have kept the center spine and consolidated the future into the Innoventions buildings and make Spaceship Earth about progress and the future but stray away more from communication but that’s just me. On top of that they should have refurbished the Fountain of Nations, make a better lagoon around it and make a good live action show using it as well.

Honestly losing the fountain is the part of the refurb that upsets me the most.

That’s one thing I have always remembered my grandparents by, they loved it and bought me to see it multiple times a day as a kid. That was a real knife in the back from Disney to me. What they don’t realize is that there are many different things in the parks that really mean something to someone, expecially regulars. Simple things that Disney could easily afford to give some TLC to. They could have restored and improved the fountain and still go they with the plans. They have to be careful what they touch and change. They instead of expanding, changing and improving totally wipe out the character of the parks and attractions. That’s not right, expecially when it does wrong by the customers that keep the money coming in. They don’t care about the love that goes into the parks from guests and outsiders. There’s more to Disney than new attractions and marketing and once they kill the central mental value and continue to raise prices that customer base is going to change.

I completely agree. Certain things are sacred. And if they’ve been in place long enough, they carry the weight of nostalgia and a genuine emotional connection. I felt that way about much of the old Future World.
