Today was supposed to be spent packing for my vacation that I am leaving for in 2 days. Well, I wasn't in the mood to pack, so I decided to save that for the wee hours of tomorrow night. I went to Disney instead, because if I was gonna stay home, I would have had to of packed anyway. So, here we go, another update. Today, I went to all 4 parks, and have updates from each one...
So let me start at MK...
--The 20K Lagoon is COMPLETELY drained. No water remains whatsoever. Fantasyland also smells like fish again. It smelled the same way when they drained the lagoon the first time.
--Going over SGE on the TTA, I noticed alot of railings and stuff on the ground. Maybe they are FINALLY starting work on the outside of the building.
--When I got off Space Mountain, I noticed that the recordings that used to play on the speedramp while exiting ( " in the future, packages will be sent to distant worlds through beams of light" and the one about the "lab receiver") do not play anymore.
--The ToonTown train station was OPEN today.
--When I was walking to the park exit, I noticed a building on Main Street had scaffolding/Styrofoam stuff all over the edge of the building.
--Nothing has been done with the Speedway Seating area yet.
--The Tomorrowland Stage is completely gone (with a little area for future development). The tarp is off the canopy, and the canopy is almost completely gone too.
After MK, I went over to AK...
--Nothing new, except 3 cranes are now being used at the Everest construction site.
I walked out of AK, and went to AKL to cool off. From there, it was Epcot...
--The construction wall was STILL up on the left side of the Mission:Space facade.
--Also walled off was the children's water play area.
--Some more Mission:Space news. What was the "EXIT ONLY" ramp for people getting Fastpasses, is now the Fastpass entrance area. The "EXIT ONLY" sign was taken down, and a temporary sign saying "Fastpass Distribution -->" was put up, pointing to the ramp.
--The fountain that was in-between MS and TT has been replaced, by the same old concrete thing that was there before. They could of atleast left it there. It was better than looking at a concrete bench.
--Also closed were the bathrooms by HISTA and Figment. A sign was put up, saying they are being refurbished. With the Soarin' construction going on near by, I think it was a smart move.
And then the last stop was MGM...
--A temporary entrance for Indiana Jones was put up, stretching almost all the way back to the Indy shop.
--The old fashioned Mickey shop (I don't remember the name, but it is across the alley from the Planet Hollywood shop) on Sunset Blvd. had a leaky roof. It wasn't raining at the time, but water was dripping down, and onto the tile floor.
And that is it. I should be able to post the pictures soon, and then (ah man) it's time to start packin'. This WILL be my last update until July 12th (seems so far away lol).
