Is the new Lucas Arts PC game, Thrillville, anyway connected with Roller Coaster Tycoon?

I noticed that Frontier made both versions, so I wonder if it is just a coincidence, or some type of spin-off.

I have heard Thrillville is more of a bunch of theme park mini games rather than a sim park business game. Not sure if its any good or not.

Both games are created by Frontier, but Thrillville isn't really a "roller coaster simulator." Its geared towards casual gamers that want to simulate theme parks without all the minor details in a shorter amount of time.

The major flaw in this game is that you can only place rides in a predetermined area. I would recommend renting it first before you buy it.

Can you really rent a computer game?

I though you could build and ride your very own Roller Coaster?

My mistake I forgot you were talking about the pc version.

I played the PS2 version and the designing part of the rollercoasters was pretty limited. I would probably buy when it goes down to $20, right now I don't think it quite worth the $40.

That's okay. But thanks for reminding me that it's on PS2. I forgot.

Maybe the PC version has a lot more to it since the computer might have more possibilities.

From my knowledge, Thrillville wont be coming out for pc. Its like the console's version of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, except like someone said it has predetermined build sections and its more of a mini game/amusement park. Its fun, but I cant wait until I can play RCT3.

Try the official website, I think they can give you more info than I can.
