Hello! I'm doing my first trip report, however it's a trip report from a while ago. Last March to be exact. I always meant to do a trip report (long time reader), but life, ya know? Now as things get crazy and I get stressed out, I thought I'd make a trip report to help unwind. Since it's been a while since the trip, it will be mainly photo based. Hope you enjoy!!
So... to introduce the players.
Me: You can call me D! I'm a 22 year old female (which might be hard to tell from my avatar and username lol). I'm currently finishing up my industrial engineering degree at the University of Oklahoma. Boomer Sooner! I love Mad Men, Downton Abbey, Jennifer Lawrence, Jane Austen, Harry Potter, and the Black Keys. I was 21 at the time of this trip. My first WDW trip was the summer after my freshman year of high school. It was the trip of dreams essentially. I grew up watching commercial of children going to WDW and yearned to be in their shoes. My parent's rule was "when nobody needs an afternoon nap." Well, being the oldest of three children meant I had to wait. I loved that trip so much that when my parent's asked what I wanted to do for my high school senior trip, I chose a family vacation to WDW.
Jer: My 24 year old boyfriend. He is a MIS major and not so much a Disney fan. We've been dating 4.5 years. He's been to the MK one other time besides this trip, but that was when he was 18 months so I don't really count it. His family isn't one to go on vacations so he was really looking forward to this trip.
Mom and Dad: My wonderful parents have been to WDW more than I have. My dad went when he was in the OU marching band back in the 80s as well as when the parks first opened when he was a kid. My parents went together as a couple at some point between when they got married and when I was born.
Ethan: 3 years younger than I am. This particular trip was to celebrate his graduation from high school! Yay! Now he is 12+ hours away going to college. On our first trip to WDW we accidentally left him in Germany. It's kind of a running gag now.
Em: The youngest of us three, she was a freshman in high school on this trip. She is a character lover and her goal on this trip was to get a photo with Mulan. She's also the one who just wanders off and meanders through the parks.
Shall we begin?
