Is This Possible?

My parents are taking my BF and I down to WDW in January, and I want to leave a gift basket in their room. I looked on the Disney Florist website, and the prices are way more than I would like to spend. I was thinking that I would put together my own basket filled with my parents favorite snacks and a card and somehow put it in their room when they aren't there, or have it delivered when I know they are there.

Would the guest services CM's be willing to help me out? I would either need help getting into their room to drop off the basket, or need a CM to personally deliver the basket for me. Does anyone know if this is at all possible? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions for a way to get the basket to my parents as a surprise?

Definitely. Call the resort where you'll be staying directly and they should be able to help you out. I doubt they'll actually let you into the room, but they'll more than likely be happy to deliver something for you. Have fun!

They should help out, but won't let you into the room. If you can't find a CM to help how about waiting till your parents are in their room and drop the basket off outside the door , knock & hide...sort of like the old kids game we all played.

I thought it was possible to have any kind of present in the room upon arrival... (IMO)

I know you can order them from the WDW Florist and have it waiting in the room, but since this isn't an option (because of cost) she is looking for a different option.

I think its too late to have something sent from home to be waiting when they arrive (because of Christmas), but as was said earlier, I don't think there would be a problem having a CM deliver it (especially when the reason for wanting to send one is explained).

This is a good idea and now you have me thinking..................

We are going down to WDW in Feb (end of and early March) and our best friends are coming too along with their son (Little PhD's best friend) So now I am thinking about having a gift for them sent to their room (we get their 1st).

Last Aug for our Aniversary a women who I meet at WDWmagic and loaned a stroller to had a gift basket sent to our room. It was really great and started our trip off with some extra specail magic.

I like the idea of seting it up yourself because the florist is just so over priced.

My other idea (I also read this online somewhere) is to send letters to the kids from Mickey, Minnie, etc.... a few weeks before the trip saying how excited they are that we are coming to visit etc.... The only reason I might not is we go often and if we don't do it again she might wonder why Mickey didn't write her this time. I can see myself being stuck doing this for years.

BTW, your trip is getting closer!!!!!! I want a trip report when you get back, can't wait to hear all about it and how BF likes it.
