Is this a real bus rule?

I once was staying at the Contemporary and went to EMH at Epcot on a night that MK had an employee party. They had closed the Epcot monorail and were bussing people to the TTC. The resort monorail was shut and they wouldn’t let us take the Express to MK without blue badges. They wanted us to go to DS. When the dozens of us made it very clear we would then be walking down World Drive the resort monorail magically opened for us (it was still clearing.) No way was I spending an hour to transfer to a hotel in walking distance.

OP- this happened to me and my sister as well. We ate at Jiko then wanted to hop a bus to MK and then a bus to Boardwalk.

The bus driver asked if we were going to MNSSHP and when we said no, he asked if we were parked at MK.

When we said no to both of those questions, he wouldn’t let us get on his bus and said we had to go to DS and then to BW.
MK wasn’t closed but we still couldn’t get on the bus.

🤷‍♀️ It is what it is. The next bus that came was a HS bus so we got on that.

do they? It sure seems like they clear out springs really fast these days. Of course they used to run until 2:00 am with pleasure island.

Based on my similar interaction it’s driver discretion - he looked at the park close time and considered the drive time. If the park has just closed and the driver is confident busses will still be running i think they will take you.
They almost always run till 12:30 am at Springs. They have to allow Guests at AMC transfers back to the resorts. Last shows are at 10:30 normally.
