Is this a new effect?

I was standing next to the island by the china pavilion and saw something that I have never seen before. I am assuming it was an effect that never worked as planned. At the beginning meaning the pitchel lights light up in red but my last night there for a while I saw a red laser hitting the mirror on the island by the china pavilion and bouncing off towards the canter of the lake. The lasers didn't travel so far and only was visible in the cloud of smoke lingering so you probably couldn't even see it anywhere else. Has anyone ever spotted this?

That vast majority of the colored laser programming isn't visible most nights. If you have the right amount of humidity and smoke, and are at the right angle, you sometimes get to see it in all it's glory. Sounds like you hit those conditions.

They should just go all out green again, both or find a better system. I know I said this in an old thread but the old ones would even show without smoke, The beam could split and they would still be visible. I have a 200$ american DJ system that I can see without any smoke or vapors. They are as bright as day in the humidity. Speaking of the show, like I said the smoke was in the trees and pooling by us. We were getting hit my debris but it was pretty amazing. The fireworks looked lie they could hit us.
