Tropical Palms

Tropical Palms (on 192 in Kissimmee) appears to be a nice campground, though we've never stayed there since we only stay at Fort Wilderness. Also try www.woodalls.com to do a search for any other campgrounds in the area.

There's a Wal-Mart parking lot about 4 miles north of Universal on Kirkman... Give it a shot for one night....

The Wal-Mart use to be able to be used but now they have posted signs and I'm sure that they are calling the police and vehicles parked overnight.

hey I think we will try the wal-mart parking lot thing !!

I actually found the tropical palms campsites......we will stay there our first dat while we hit universal studios & head out first thing to start pur disney vacation.

We too always stay at fort wilderness but the first day of this years trip was in peak season thus raising the price of our entire trip (actually almost doubling it) so we decided to wait to check in for a day, hit universal studion & lowering our entire trip by ALOT !!

I was wondering the best way to get a universal ticket for my entire family ? should I just get them at the gate or is there a better place to get them for a better price?

If you get them online, you pay something around $85 a person and you can go and come as you please while you're in town. Pretty good deal.

If you can get pictures of the signs. Cause its Wal-Mart policy to allow camping in all of there parking lots. But if you are looking to park in a parking lot over night. I would stay at the Cracker Barrel directly across from Universal.
