Is there a better waterpark in the world than Typhoon Lagoon?

Okay, just asking. I have not been to Blizzard Beach yet believe it or not. Just Typhoon Lagoon. It is the best I have ever been to as far as water parks go. The theming is amazing you literally feel like you are on an island. The lazy river is the best I have ever seen. The wave pool is worth the price of admission alone. The slides are pretty good too, one for everyone out there.

I know some would prefer Blizzard Beach and maybe some liked River Country better when it was open (speak up if you agree of course) but there is nothing comparable to me around my area and Wet and Wild has nothing on Typhoon. For those of us that remember Water Mania in the Orlando area before it closed it was pretty much Wet and Wild in a nutshell.

Anyways, rate Typhoon worldwide

I'm not a fan of waterparks as it is (recently I've only been to the Schlitterbahn in Galveston (when it was half-finished), Typhoon Lagoon (twice), and Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoons blows them away. There's so much to do, and the theming is incredible.

Having been to all three Disney waterparks (including River Counbtry when it was open), plus quite a few water parks in the Wisconsin Dells...

I still have to say that Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite as well.

The theming is what does it for me. There is just no place else quite so exciting and relaxing at the same time.

LOVE Typhoon!!! :sohappy: With that said, I am still kinda bummed that when I look on the Calendar on this site for March park hours, I see that Blizzard Beach is supposed to be closed during our Spring Break trip during the 3rd week in March next year. I still like hitting both water parks up each trip, even though I do prefer Typhoon out of the two. We usually do one near the beginning of our 10 day stay and one at the end (usually not by design, but due to one of them being closed for seasonal refurbishment). We have always lucked out in past years and had them open like a day or two before we left, so we would hit it up on our last day down there.

Here's hoping they open Blizzard Beach a day or two (or three actually):ROFLOL: early next year so that we can hit them both up again!!!

No. Hands down the best water park. (:

Shlitterbahn seems like the 6 flags of water parks

Actually Shlitterbahn's is far from a Six flags park. They have the most inovative water rides as well as traditional water park rides in the USA. This is a very family oriented park where you can enjoy and relax. I am a transplanted Texan living in South Jersey. When I do go back home I always make it a point to go to America's best kept secret when it comes to water parks.

Yep. I'll give Blizzard Beach a tip of the cap for its inspired theming, but in every other way, Typhoon Lagoon is better than any waterpark I've visited - Disney, Dells, or otherwise.

There was one I went to in Las Vegas years ago, I have no idea what it was called, but it was amazing. In recent years though, Blizzard takes the crown!

Both Disney water parks are great. But, for total attractions, Schlitterbahn blows every waterpark away.

Typhoon Lagoon is by far my favorite Disney water park. That being said, I really loved the zipline and waterslides with big drops into the pool at River Country. I enjoy the lazy river and wave pool at Typhoon better than Blizzard Beach (both are great though). However I have seen Schlitterbahn on Extreme Waterparks on the Travel Channel and it looks amazing!! I hope I can check it out one day!!!;)

I've always felt Typhoon Lagoon was my favorite because of the extra trees and shade it had. Which added to its tropical feeling.
But the foilage at Blizzard Beach trees has finally grown in and it's increased size gives it the edge for me now.

Having lived in Texas, I love Schlitterbahn.
But there's a special feeling within the Disney Waterparks (probably because they're within the 'World') that Schlitterbahn can't match.
