I have been looking around the internet now for some time and never can find an answer that I am happy with. When we go to Disney is May we are also going to Universal. But is the Mummy worth riding? and what is it like? I have seen the promo pics but dont think anything of them. Regardless I know that I am going to ride it just because it seems like something interesting.
Thank you

The Mummy is worth riding! Get there in the morning and go straight to the ride! The wait can get quite long and express passes run out quickly. It is very different from other roller coasters. It is a must do in my opinion. They are very serious about NO bags on this ride...you must use the lockers for this one if you are carrying anything...including a waist pack. There is no room for anything other then your own body on this one!

I would say that The Mummy is one of my favorites at Universal. Have a great time!

It's my favorite ride! I've been on it hundreds of times and I'm still not sick of it. You should definitely check it out!

I was dissappointed the first time I rode it but now I love it. It's my 2nd favorite ride in the park. (MIB is 1st) Ride singles after the first time, especially in the morning. I did it 4 times without waiting longer than like 10 minutes. I still want a group shot from it though.

I disagree with the crowd here. It's my 3rd favorite attraction at USF (Behind T2 3D and Shrek 4D), and it was a little bit of a disapointment. I usually describe it as being "good, but not great". Sure it's better than Kongfrontation, but that didn't take much. If you had to choose between going to Universal Studios Florida park or Islands of Adventure park, there is no doubt you should go to IOA. It's just a short walk across the way from USF and it's a much better park, In my opinion. Spider Man alone is better than anything at USF for me.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was new when I last went....I rode it 7 times! My family made sure to remember when the pic was taken, and we came up with several creative poses--we bought the best one.

And the gift shop is great! I love ancient Egyptian culture, and there are so many beautiful things. I bought a hand mirror that is so georgeous--gold with carvings on the back--really nice.

And the guys that sometimes stand outside of it are neat with their stilts...I even saw the mummy himself--the character, but he looked SO much like the guy in the movie...he was scowling and striding around. I had the best time.

the first time I walked off, I was a little disappointed. now it's the first thing we hit at US. whenever we're in O-town, my wife makes us stop for a mummy ride or a tower of terror fix. when all of the effects are working properly, it's an incredible thing to see.

Absolutely Brooke! No matter how many times I ride it, it never gets boring. I enjoy watching the reactions of others anyway. BTW..make sure you look for Universal's tribute to Kong in the treasure room. I guess most people have seen it already so I won't tell you where it is. You gotta look quickly though! ;)

I can understand how the ride can be dissapointing to some people, the coaster portion is rather short but when concept of the ride/dark mix is what makes it a great attractions. Their are few things that I think could make the ride better, but overall great effort done by Universal. I have never seen the full queue since I have only done single rider line. Single Rider line to me is the greatest thing since the Mouse. Everyone I travel with see no point in waiting in a 30 min line to experience an attraction once, when you can ride it 3 to 4 times in 30 mins.

Ride it. Twice. why? b/c the first time, you're so busy taking it all in that it goes way too fast.. the second time I was actually able to enjoy and anticipate it which made it much more enjoyable and memorable.

I loved it. Slightly disappointing at first, but I still had a great time. I love the steep air-time drop into the fog at the end, it's my favorite part :D Also, make sure you walk through the actual queue and not just the express line... there's a lot to see in the stand-by queue. :animwink:

I rode Mummy for the first time on Sunday, and I must say that I am impressed!!! I rode it 5 times throughout the day. Only thing that broke the illusion for me was one time the audio in the room after you go backwards and turn back around didn't work and another time in the false ending, the "glass" wasn't working and you could see the AA mummy while the female employee was talking. But, it is one helluva ride!!!! :sohappy:

GREAT RIDE, MUST SEE ATTRACTION!

On regards, single rider, use it after your first ride, and DON'T use it if its longer than the Standby line like it was in JULY!!!
