The only main difference now is the water does not connect all the way around the HUB. It will stop just short of Main Street.
So I've got a question: are they going to remove the path by the Plaza Gardens that goes down to the now-demolished Swan Docks?
That walkway is kind if coolAs seen in the construction photos, there are underground pipes to connect the water from one side to the other.
Eventually removed, yes. That land will be raised to allow for the "outer ring" Hub walkway. But that won't happen until the Southern end of the Hub is done.

Thanks! I'm a little bummed since that path gives such great views, but I'm sure it'll be better for all the massive fireworks crowds. As seen in the construction photos, there are underground pipes to connect the water from one side to the other.

There seems to be a bunch of different answers to the original questions, so for anyone reading this thread in the future, let's clarify. On either side of the bridge from Main Street they are extending the solid ground over the area where the moat currently is. Both sides of this extension will end in a fake bridge. The water will go a couple feet under both ends so it will look like it goes all the way under this new land. The construction photos do show a small pipe under the fake bridge on both sides that presumable is going to be used to main circulation of the water.
