Hi, we’re headed to Disney in a few weeks and I was wondering if we could walk between the Poly and GF again? Thanks!
You still cannot, sadly. The fastest way between the two is monorailing from Poly to GF and boating from GF to Poly.Hi, we’re headed to Disney in a few weeks and I was wondering if we could walk between the Poly and GF again? Thanks!
I didn’t think so, but wanted to check. Thanks! You still cannot, sadly. The fastest way between the two is monorailing from Poly to GF and boating from GF to Poly.
Hopefully, they have a raised walkway coming from their building with its own security. It would also spread out guests on the platform. If there is only the one entrance as is now, you're correct it would be a huge nightmare.Peak times back up of the monorail ....I shudder to think what will happen when
the new DVC atrocity opens. No transportation will be provided from the tower.
So EVERYONE of the hundreds staying there will overwhelm the Poly system.
Congrats Disney...You are ruining 1 of the most beloved resorts on property.
The platform would be a good idea...Unfortunately there is no further additions like thisHopefully, they have a raised walkway coming from their building with its own security. Same! My family and I canceled all of our plans fro staying at the Poly until the walkway is back open. Friends stayed during MNSSHP and didn't want to walk to the TTC just to get over to MK (and in their defense, it does completely destroy the reason for staying at an MK resort), so they waited almost two hours for a boat over. The line for the monorail was supposedly longer, according to cast members stationed there. Was sad to hear, but I'm sure Poly management hears it a bunch on their feedback surveys.I really will be relieved when the walkway is available again. It's my preferred route from the MK to TTC at the end of the night.
Any danger of alligators along these walking paths?
There are also lots of fences and netting and signage everywhere that you step warning you to stay away from the water's edge. In my experience in Florida gators almost never venture far from the water anyway.I've never had any issues. Yeah, there is water and probably an alligator could be in there but the paths are a little away from the water's edge. Plus, I think that Disney works to capture and relocate any alligators that get to a size that could be problematic. Given that attacks on property are rare, I wouldn't worry. The terrible one a number of years ago was actually caused by people being in the water. That's the only one that I can remember even happening.

Un-chaperoned groups of teenagers > snakes > gatorsI'd be more concerned about snakes than gators walking, but even then, I rarely give in pause for concern.
