Is Shrek 4-D exclusive to Universal Studios Theme Parks? I believe that the 3-D film itself was sold in a bundle pack with the first Shrek movie. Isn't it the same?

Also, I've heard that the film is actually at other amusement parks according to my friend from Tenessee, although this friend has been known to fib...a lot! So does anyone know if this attraction is exclusive to Universal Theme Parks?:veryconfu

Shrek 3-D was indeed sold in a bundle with the first Shrek movie when the second one came out. The film is the same as it is in the actual park attraction.

As far as I know the only other park showing Shrek 4-D outside of Universal Studios Florida/Hollywood/Japan is Warner Bros. Movie World Australia.

Does anyone like the Shrek 3-D film that was sold? Is it as good as the experience you get in the Theme Parks.

Anyone know if Shrek was put out in other Theme parks or county fairs?

It's definitely not as good. Instead of using polarized glasses, you need to use red/blue for the 3D effect. This obviously distorts the color a bit. I believe that the DVD also has a non-3D version available for viewing. It's crystal clear, but obviously not in 3D.

Of course, there is no bouncing seat, no in-theater effects, no amusing preshow video, etc. if you watch it at home.

If you're deciding whether or not to pick it up, then go for it. It's not that often that you get a source-quality version of a theme park attraction for personal viewing.

I have it as my origional shrek went tits up and my shiney new dvd player decided that it was too awesome to play a scratched disk - where my old toshiba played it fine.... *grrr*

Its ok - brings back memories more then anything - i wouldnt personally want to watch it before going to shrek 4D....

just lean forward then back and get a water spray bottle for the effects

its ok...if your goign to buy the movies then get the one in the pack but its not really worth buying them again just for the video. My friends and I watched it and it doesnt live up to the in-theatre experience (which isnt suprising since so much happens in it).

I love that expression. I have nothing to add, I just felt like this was one of the funniest sentences I've read for a long time.
