Is Pleasure Island any good?

The post on Disney Quest made me think of this question... I have been to WDW 4 times, but the first two times I was underage, I got sick when we went for our honeymoon so we never made it, and the last time we were staying off site (not by choice) and we didn't want to have to park and then have to drive back. So is it even worth it to go?

The Adventurers Club alone is worth an entire night there.

In my last few trips, only the last one involved a trip to DTD. Know this though: it was a wen night in lte August. The polace we deserted. My GF and I would walk into a club, get drink or dance to one song, then leave. We also watched a dude "vogue" it out to some JUstin Timberlake all alone on a spining dance floor.

But by far the crown jewel of DTD is the Avenure's Club. Im sure you can find numerous posts about on this board. It had a fair group inside, and we were all kept moving and entertained. Its a show like you never seen before.

Last summer was the first time we tried it and would definetly go back. I liike that its still a "hidden treasure", when its almost theme park atraction in diguise.

Just letting you know... if you're in the mood to dance... those clubs don't even get started until at LEAST 11:00 on a weekend.... even later on the weekdays. So don't show up at 9:00 hoping to dance with lots of people! If you get there earlier, head over to Aventurer's Club or Comedy Warehouse for some entertainments before hitting the dance floor!

I equate Pleasure Island to being at a really bad wedding reception in a Holiday Inn ballroom, but with a better lighting system. Like that bad wedding reception, Pleasure Island is tacky, trashy, and your Uncle Steve is drunk and doing the Macarena.

I don't ever need to return to Pleasure Island. Ever.

It used to be a real fun place to go with the live bands and variety of things to do. Now it's just a shell of what it used to be. Pretty sad.

But that's about it. After the destruction of the West End Stage, all live entertainment/bands, and the demise of the Beach Club. PI sucks.

The should move the Adv. Club somewhere else on property and bulldoze the entire 'island'

That's actually quite a possiblity if the rumors are accurate

Comedy Warehouse is alright, but it's hit or miss, whereas the Adventurers Club is consistently good.
