Is Mission Space 3D?

So I was just reading on some site that Mission Space apparently uses similar technology to the upcoming Nintendo 3DS to produce a 3D effect without glasses.

Now it's been a long time since I've been on the ride, but I don't remember it explicitly being 3D. But I do remember it being very immersive and awesome, which I imagine a 3D effect might have contributed too.

So does anyone know the scoop? Does this ride actually make use of a 3D screen to provide a sense of depth?

It's not technically 3-D, but it does make use of a technology to simulate depth. I honestly don't know details, but I do know that the video screen is actually a reflection, which plays into the effect.

It isn't 3D but through reflection it produces an image similar to looking out of a port window in space, though not in 3D.

Plus I mean, like it needs ANOTHER reason to make people sick? lol

Very curious; I wonder if anyone knows more? I wonder what other effect that could be using that would simulate depth...?

When I read this quick I thought you wrote "death" instead of "depth", because I thought I was going to literally die when I rode it. I've since gotten the courage up to ride the less intense side and was okay with that.

I think it's a fresnel lens place infront of a display.
Kinda simulates 3D.
It was used on flight simulators, one display per window.
