Is anyone going to the annual shareholder's meeting tomorrow?(3/19/03)

Hey guys. I was just wondering if there's anyone who posts here who is going to the shareholder meeting in Colorado tomorrow March 19th.

I bet it would be a good time to voice an opinion to Eisner and the board of directors. I've never been to one before, but has anyone else been to one of these things??

I'm just wondering if all of the board is going to be there. I know most people would probally get there today, but with the snowstorm, I'm guessing attendence will be down.

I live North East of Denver (by the Airport) and cannot believe that the meeting will be on today. Denver International Airport has been closed since last night (the 18th). There is a complete ban on driving for non-emergency service personnel and all major highways in annd out of the city have been closed by the State Department of Transportation.

I am really dissapointed. I had taken the day off and was planning on going to the meeting. I suspect that it will be held in a different place now.

I'm sure Eisner likes the fact that not many people may make it due to the weather. I just hope enough people make it to make good arguments in front of the board. They should hold it down in New Orleans every year. That would be real nice.

Just had a report on CNBC. Several board members weren't able to make it so they were meeting via speakerphones.

The CFO saw more moderate growth overall than expected. Theme parks are the main concern, and projected travel numbers are way below expectations.

Is the meeting held in a different place each year? I would have thought it logical to be held @ Disney HQ in LA. How many shareholders (approx) attend?

Originally, it was in Anaheim every year (except for a couple in Orlando, I think). However, ever since a big brouhaha in Anaheim from angry Annual Passholder/stockholders and Cast Member/stockholders angry about the direction of the company, they've been on the run doing the "bet ya can't catch us" routine in places like Houston, Kansas City, Hartford CT, and now Denver. Next year? Death Valley! :lol: :lol: :lookaroun
