I will be up tomorrow eeeeaaaaaarly (For me) to get into Indiana Jones Adventure.

Anyone else going?

Also, does anyone know what effects are going back in...i.e. falling rocks and fog?

After having riden IJA this morninf I can say - what rehab. Don't get me wrong, the ride looks great and is as fun as always. Maybe it has been that I haven't been on it in so long but I could not tell of anything new.

But still it is great to have it back! (Side note, the ride has gone down 3 times today, and that was all before 11:00am.)

Well, I wasn't going to say anything...because I get into fights here with people on the boards about Disney quality.

I didn't notice anything except the electronic gates and a new water effect (looks all nice and red) on the bottom as well as being forced to watch the safety video. Lawyers 2, Imagineers 1?

Okay, my input! :D

Some good, some bad. Overall, i say improvement, but not "2 months" improvement. Station gates are good. The new projectors in the bug room are good. I believe the laser/fire effect combo in the big main chamber is working better than before. Also, where Indy is holdinig back the gates, there is more of a fog effect, and the scene overall looks a bit more foreboding, although it is far from the "storm" it is intended to be.

As for the safety video, I'm kinda half and half. I like that you now get the "don't look into the eyes of Mara" bit right upfront - it makes the ride's storyline a bit clearer. Also, the way theye looped the queue going into the film room, you once again go by the pit, and the rope-pulling may begin! ;) Nice to see an underused part of the queue get some attention. Still, I don't feel the need for a formal preshow in there.

And now the bad: The rat room still looks awful, i don't think they even touched it. It's still way to bright, with plain black walls that aren't themed at all. Another bad spot: the snake. Didn't lunge at all. Now, I know the attraction has had some problems with the effects working during this rehab, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the douobt and believe that this is temporary and will be fixed. I hope...

first rode...

My wife rode it when it first opened...said there were a lot more effects.

I don't like that Indy's pants still look like they are coming off...snake didn't move whatsoever for me...and the bugs...well, its very bright...and I didn't get any rat effect whatsoever.

Did anyone ever remember fog in the opening scene and falling 'rocks'?

j. curious.

As Kirsten mentions above, the fog is back. I didn't notice the rocks yesterday but that was one of the original effects for the ride. If they are back that is great.

For 2 months for being down I am more scratching my head then anything. General concensus seems to be:

Queue holds you up more in the Rotunda (that's great!) and the projector room (so you see the safety speil now.)

The loading area has gates to separate you from the cars. the belts have new yellow tabs and belts need to be reset each trip, even if no one is in the seats.

The ride:
1) Fog back in the first Indy scene. Rocks are falling again.

2) Lava pool looks much better. The lasers seem enhanced too.

3) Snakey hisses but no action

4) Rats room still cheesy

I think that's it.

I missed the falling rocks, too. Those could also be another effect they had trouble with durinig the refub.

I got the story on the snake from MouseInfo. It seems that when they were replacing the snake in the refurb, they were sent a snake that was manufactured improperly. Sounds like they won't get the replacement for a few months, but they decided to go ahead and reopen anyways. (good decision!)

welll

Well, I never saw any smoke or rocks...there is confusion here...

I thought initially, the car was to ascend on clouds, of fog...there is more smoke now coming behind the door, but no fog on the path to those big doors which indy is trying to keep shut. Fog stays low to the ground in great density as a special effect dry ice type...and smoke just sort of evaporates imho.

Also...rocks...or ice cubes that fall down from the sky...anyone see this? I didn't.

Thanks for the snake mention...it did look new...just not working.

OK, thanks for the clarification on that. :)

As for that tunnel, the intent is that your car is riding through a storm. It was suppoed to be a wind tunnel, and your car "floats" through it, and the lightning effects, etc. I think that effect has been essentially forgotten about nowo, and they're focusing on Indy and the gates - which has been looking pretty shoddy over the last few years.

I just got back from another day at the parks and no, the falling rocks are not back, but the sound of them falling is still there.

Another Indy observation - has anyone gotten anything other than the chamber of wealth? I've gotten that door every single time since it reopened, as has most everyone else I've asked.

This goes out for all the old Indy Adv riders, did you ever get one of those decoder cards. The ones from AT&T when the ride first opened? Use them to decode the inscriptions on the wall. You will find some pretty cool stuff.
