Investing in the World

I know in recent years Disney has been criticized for seeming to not give much thought to WDW but in my opinion things are really changing. The initial reports of Avatar land are exceeding expectations and showcasing superb innovation and that Disney magic. The Star Wars land and toy story land seem to have as high if not a higher bar set and I truly believe Disney will over deliver on both. However it's not just the new lands that got me thinking this, Coronado springs and the Caribbean beach resorts are both getting some well deserved love, the transportation system seems to be heading towards some long overdue expansions/changes, and the new shows such as Happily Ever After are looking truly impressive. Epcot seems to be next on the table too for some long overdue work. Are thing a perfect? No. Could they be better in many regards? Of course. I am simply happy to see that the company does seem to be investing significant resources and energy into WDW again and I'm truly happy to see it.

Good post. I think it is human nature to complain when we see reasons to complain. We should all spend some time to take a look a realize there are real improvements being made. Disney Springs is an example of real improvement in form, function, and traffic flow. I know I am guilty of this as much (if not more) than some. We are going to a preview of Avatar in about ten days, and I'm super excited about Disney and what they're doing.

Somehow I need to translate this to my life, so I can convince my wife to see the good changes I've made. They are not quite as obvious as new E-ticket attractions, but I'm sure there are some. I did just get a haircut today - that's something.
