Sorry...but I had to share this. We spent the bulk of this week in Branson, MO and on our way out of The Butterfly Palace, some guy was screaming from the top of his lungs from the parking lot that we were looking at the site of Disney's next Magic Kingdom park. I know rumors like this pop up all the time about a variety of places in the world and are nothing more than that, but it was just hysterical to me. This poor guy was just absolutely giddy - smile from ear to ear. Some of the other people in the parking lot were either really good actors or seemed to be buying into his story. I just nodded - I mean, why burst the poor guy's bubble, but I couldn't help but take a picture before driving off...so you too could see the GLORIOUS sight. ;):p:D

We spent a week in Branson a few years ago and I don't even like country music. Went to 14 different shows including breakfast, daytime and evening shows and had a great time. Lots of shopping too. Did you see the bathrooms at the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre?

It was off season, so nearly all of the shows were dark. Even Silver Dollar City was closed. We were staying on the other side of Table Rock Lake (Kimberling City to be exact), so we spent more of our time just focusing on nature over there. Still, we woke up to this nice view every day...

Oh, same thing happened south of here several years ago. Massive clearing near the interstate for the new Disney World. Turned out to be a Tanger a Outlet Center. Not a monorail anywhere!

Every few years, similar rumors go around here in Texas. Everyone kept saying that Disney bought up the Texas Renaissance festival grounds and adjacent land and were building a Texas park. I just never have seen anyone playing town crier with the erroneous info like this guy we saw in Branson.

Great view. We went to Big Cedar Lodge near there. Beautiful place. Lots of nature time.
