Wow... I feel slightly better, knowing I'm not the only one with this issue

I was feeling silly - I thought I was just wasn't looking hard enough for the info!
It's not fair

But it's even more crazy - I'm currently living in Japan for a few months (working as an English teacher) and I tried to apply for employment at Tokyo Disneyland (I live just 45 away from it!). They are consantly looking for foreign people to work there - mainly as cast members who show their faces (like the Disney Princesses, Mary Poppins, Wendy from Peter Pan, etc).
My application was rejected, however. Apparantly, for foreign people to work at Tokyo Disneyland, they need to apply for the job and have an interview in their OWN country, then (if employment is granted) remain there until flights, visas etc are organized. It seems so crazy! There are auditions in Melbourne (my home city in Australia) this month, and I can't audition because I'm living in Japan; and yet I can't apply for the job living in Japan... Arg, I don't get it :lookaroun I can't work there because I live too close!
So... Anyway, if anyone could provide some information on work for international people at Disneyworld/Disneyland, it would really be appreicated!
